Kimono inherited from your mother or grandmother.
Because they were cherished so much,
you can't easily let them go—
Are such kimonos sleeping in the back of your closet?
They don't fit.
There's no occasion to wear them.
But selling them just doesn't feel right.
At kico,
we use such cherished kimonos
to provide semi-custom upcycling into Azuma bags.
Since only a limited number can be made from a single kimono,
it's rare to make two of the same item.
That's why we create
one-of-a-kind bags.
Rather than just preserving memories,
we want you to create new memories
by using them in your daily life.
This is not about "storing away" memories,
but choosing to cherish them as treasures for a long time.
Additionally, at kico,
we welcome donations of kimonos that are sleeping at home.
We would be delighted to help connect your cherished kimonos
to their next form.
"Can this kimono be used?"
"What will the finished product look like?"
